Inspired by student energy, the extension’s design reflects the centre’s vision forward and consists of four educational buildings that incorporate medical and engineering facilities, classrooms, a student hub, sports amenities, library, lecture hall and auditorium.
The internal lighting design scheme for this project was based on being complementary to the architecture and a sense of openness, integration within the architectural surfaces, communication with the environment using a language for wayfinding, and above all efficiency.
Stretch ME became a key part of the design language with the integration of Stretch Ceilings High-Performance Crystal White Diffuser. The Lighting Diffuser panels were fabricated in exceptionally large pieces to minimize joins and improve the efficiency of the design and environmental credentials.
